Description
Bilbies ELC & Kinder is a family-owned early learning centre and Kindergarten in Victoria, Australia, providing education and care for children from 6 weeks to 6 years of age. The centre combines Montessori-inspired education with play-based learning guided by the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) and Victorian Early Years Learning and Development Framework (VEYLDF).
Bilbies offers programs designed for different stages of early childhood development, including Nursery, Toddler and Kindergarten programs. The Nursery program supports babies from 6 weeks through their early developmental stages, while the Toddler program focuses on independence, language, movement, social development and hands-on learning.
The Kindergarten program is designed for children from around 3 years to school age and combines Montessori learning with a play-based educational approach. The program supports early literacy, numeracy, communication, independence, social development and school readiness. Bilbies also provides a Victorian Government-funded Kindergarten program delivered with Montessori-trained educators and VIT-registered Early Childhood Teachers.
In addition to its core early learning programs, Bilbies provides STEM and enrichment activities covering science, technology, engineering, mathematics, music, sports, yoga, cooking, creative arts, gardening and sustainability. These activities are designed to encourage curiosity, creativity, problem-solving, confidence and collaboration.
The centre also places strong emphasis on child safety, family partnerships and creating a nurturing environment where children feel secure and supported. Its facilities and learning environments are designed to encourage independence, exploration and age-appropriate development.
