Description
One of the key initiatives featured on KisanMitr is Atmanirbhar Krishi, a digital agriculture application designed to aggregate farm and region-specific information from different government and scientific data sources. The platform uses information related to weather, soil health, crops, vegetation, surface water and groundwater to provide useful agricultural insights.
KisanMitr also showcases agricultural technologies and innovative solutions that can support different stages of farming and the wider agricultural value chain. Its AgriTech section highlights technologies aimed at improving productivity, reducing losses, developing efficient farm equipment and addressing challenges related to crops, livestock and agricultural resources.
The platform also features examples of technology-driven agricultural businesses covering areas such as crop planning, market linkages, agri-finance, farm advisory, equipment, food processing, cold-chain infrastructure and agricultural marketplaces.
For farmers, agricultural innovators, technology providers and organisations working in the agriculture ecosystem, KisanMitr provides a digital environment focused on agricultural technology, knowledge sharing, innovation and farmer empowerment.
